Playworker  – Breakfast & After School Club

We are excited to be recruiting Playworkers for our new Breakfast and After School Club at Matford Brook Academy. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established childcare provider as we continue to grow our wraparound care provision in Exeter.

About the Role

You will be working with children aged 4–8 years, supporting them through play, activities, and daily routines in a safe, caring, and engaging environment. You’ll be part of a small, friendly team and will have the opportunity to help shape and grow the club.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting children through play-based activities and structured routines

• Creating a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment

• Encouraging positive behaviour and social development

• Working closely with a supportive staff team

• Ensuring safeguarding and welfare standards are always met

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Friendly, enthusiastic, and reliable

• Bubbly with a genuine love of working with children

• Creative, with ideas to keep children engaged and happy

• A strong team player with a positive attitude

Previous childcare experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
